Are you going to be “home alone” on Xmas day? If so, why not join the Tolmie Orphans Xmas at the Community Kitchen? It is a relaxed day, where everyone contributes something towards lunch and shares the cost of the meat & pudding (usually around $15). BYO drinks. This wonderful day is intended for singles and couples or even small families – but not if you have a hoard who can otherwise have a very merry xmas at home together doing your own thing! If you would like to participate this Christmas, please phone either Linda or Michael on 5776 2113 by 15th December .
Regular contestants in the Tolmie Sports baking competition will be pleased to hear that the competition is back again. With both open and junior sections, there is plenty of opportunity for all ages to show their cooking prowess. Open age competitors are required to bake a boiled fruit cake, while the juniors (12 years & under) can whip up either sweet or savoury muffins. Rules do apply however, so visit the Tolmie Sports page or contact email@example.com for all the details and start practising.
Come along and enjoy a bite to eat & drink with the upcoming Tolmie Community Planning Meeting and BBQ at the Tolmie Mechanics Institute on Sunday 18th October, starting at 12noon. This will be a great opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours whilst also meeting new members to the community. The aim of this day is to review the Tolmie Community Vision and Plan by:
- Celebrating what has already been achieved.
- Reflecting on what worked well in projects successfully completed
- Review projects that haven’t been completed and identify any new ones.
- Identify the characteristics of resilience in your community and what your community values most to help plan for risks associated with the local environment.
This will be a great family day with children welcome, so bring chairs & drinks and come along. For catering purposes, please RSVP to either Kirsten or Keira at Mansfield Shire on 5775 8555 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

Residents of Tolmie, both permanant & weekenders, should be reminded that the bins at the recreation reserve are NOT for personal use. Sadly on too many occassions, the bins at the rec reserve, hall and CFA have been filled with rubbish left by residents, thus leaving no bin space for campers and users of the recreation reserve. Although it may appear that there are ample bins at these facilities, only 3 bins are allowed to be placed out for each collection day. The filling of these bins reflects badly on our facilities and ultimately can impact on the income received from users who pay for their use. Please think twice – this is just not on!
