Tolmie Sports Boys Toys Display

The upcoming 130th Tolmie Sports will include a static display of “Boys Toys”.  So if you have your pride & joy in the shed – no matter what condition – bring it along, new or old.  Cars, bikes, boats, tractors, trucks, race cars, old machinery – whatever.  To help with organisation please contact Bill on 5776 2210.

Volunteers needed for 130th Tolmie Sports

The 130th Tolmie Sports will be held on Saturday 13th February 2016 at the Tolmie Recreation Reserve.  An integral part of successfully running the sports is the fantastic support of volunteers on the day.  If you are interested in volunteering on Sports day it would be greatly appreciated.  Generally volunteer shifts run for 2 to 3 hours so there is still plenty of time to relax and enjoy everything the sports has to offer.

To register an interest in volunteering, please contact Meg on 5776 2178 or .

Targa High Country Rally Here Again

The Targa High Country rally will once again visit Tolmie on Saturday 7th November.  The running of this event requires the closure of the Mansfield-Whitfield Road between Stevensons Road (Bridge Creek) and Benalla-Whitfield Road (Whitfield) from 9.05am until 3.51pm.  Residents are reminded that during this time they will not have access to the road in this section and will not be able to enter or leave their properties.  Should you have an emergency, residents are encouraged to phone ‘000’.

Community Planning Meeting & BBQ for Tolmie

Come along and enjoy a bite to eat & drink with the upcoming Tolmie Community Planning Meeting and BBQ at the Tolmie Mechanics Institute on Sunday 18th October, starting at 12noon.  This will be a great opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours whilst also meeting new members to the community.  The aim of this day is to review the Tolmie Community Vision and Plan by:

  • Celebrating what has already been achieved.
  • Reflecting on what worked well in projects successfully completed
  • Review projects that haven’t been completed and identify any new ones.
  • Identify the characteristics of resilience in your community and what your community values most to help plan for risks associated with the local environment.

This will be a great family day with children welcome, so bring chairs & drinks and come along.  For catering purposes, please RSVP to either Kirsten or Keira at Mansfield Shire on 5775 8555 or email
